Kate Conrad began making pet portraits in 2006, starting with her own dog Coco. Requests from family and friends followed, and it has grown from there. All animals are accepted as subjects. Kate is an art student majoring in Illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She has studied with oil painters Mary Iselin and Alexander Farquharson, colored pencil artist Nicole Caulfield and book illustrator David Mattingly.
